What is Somatic Psychotherapy?
We often know that something isn't good for us. We want to change it — and yet we repeat it.
This happens because the body remembers. Learned ways of responding have long been written into the breath, the posture, the muscular tone, and our nervous system.
Somatic psychotherapy works there: not only with understanding, but with the experience that allows the pattern to shift.

I'm Iliana — a psychologist (MSc), a Somatic Psychotherapist certified by the Wilhelm Reich Institute, and a counsellor.
I work from the understanding that body, mind, and psyche are functionally interconnected. In practice that means attending to both experience and analysis: what the nervous system holds alongside what a person is able to put into words — somatic work and psychoanalytic attention to language and symbol, together rather than in sequence.
