Iliana Kapsokali
About Me
My name is Iliana Kapsokali. I am a psychologist, certified psychotherapist and mental health counselor, specialized in Reichian Somatic Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, with postgraduate studies in Sport and Exercise Psychology.
I studied Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed my clinical internship at the Psychiatric Department of Attikon University Hospital, where I also continued to offer voluntary support for a period of time.
Over the years, I have worked as a psychologist in private organizations, NGOs and public services, including schools and educational support centers. My interest in the relationship between body, performance and psychological functioning led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Sport, Exercise and Physical Education Psychology at the University of Thessaly.
My deeper intention to approach the human being in a more holistic and integrative way led me to long-term training at the Wilhelm Reich Center for Psychotherapy and Counseling, based on the work of Wilhelm Reich (Hellenic Institute of Vegetotherapy and Character Analysis). This approach, with deep scientific roots, integrates psychoanalytic thinking with contemporary neuroscience, highlighting the profound connection between body and mind and offering meaningful tools for understanding and therapeutic change.
Alongside my professional training, my own journey through personal therapy, supervision and continuous development has been an essential part of my work. Today, I have the privilege of accompanying people of all ages in their therapeutic process, supporting meaningful change, personal freedom and the restoration of vitality.
I currently divide my time between Greece and New Zealand and work with individuals from Greece, New Zealand and Australia, offering both in-person and online sessions.
